Suzuki GSX-R1000

Suzuki invented the modern race replica sportbike when it introduced the original GSX-R750 in 1985, by hanging the minimal street equipment on a race bike to make it legal. For more than 35 years, the GSX-R, in various displacements, has defined the street-legal race bike and won races with both professionals and amateurs at the controls.

Now in 2021, Suzuki has a very special edition GSX-R1000R, with top-of-the-line brakes, suspension, and technology, celebrating both their 60th anniversary in motorcycle racing and their 100th anniversary as a manufacturer with their traditional silver and blue paint.

Their current literbike carries on the game-changing tradition of that 1980s GSX-R750, which was significantly lighter than the competition while making as much power. Currently, the bike weighs less than 450 lbs and puts out more than 200 horsepower, revving to more than 13,000 rpm, for a top speed of over 180 mph.

Suzuki gives their tour de force a full slate of electronic rider aids - ride modes, anti-lock brakes, traction control, throttle by wire, and more. Right off the showroom floor, with an average rider, the Suzuki GSX-R1000R could win races at any track.

Suzuki gives the GSX-R a full complement of LED lighting from the factory, but DENALI makes them brighter and more attractive. Start by ditching the big, boring turn signal stalks and replacing them with DENALI’s Flush Mount Micro LED Turn Signals, which are practically invisible until they light up. The solid aluminum pods are just 1 1/2in long, .5in tall, and project less than .75 inches, but put out as much light as the originals. If you prefer the look of stalk-mounted blinkers, DENALI has the T3 Switchback M8 combining a bright turn signal flasher and running light in one attractive unit.

DENALI Electronics helps make riding your sportbike safer by making it easier to see you from any angle. Lightweight, quickly mounted DRL visibility pods in white or amber and red B6 auxiliary brake lights make you and your bike hard to miss and perfectly complement factory LED lighting. In case bright lights alone aren’t enough, DENALI has small, easily mounted SoundBomb horns, twice as loud as stock in the electromagnetic version, or a four-time loader compact air horn.

DENALI has extra bright LED spotlights, floodlights, and fog lights that won’t tax the factory charging system if you like to ride fast at night or race in endurance events. The tiny round DM and D2 pods throw a beam of light about 400 feet and 525 feet, respectively, or can be converted to wide-angle floods or amber fog lights. DENALI has engineered mounting brackets to put the pods anywhere you have a 5mm or 6mm bolt. D4 square 4in pods weigh in at just 1.5 lbs each but light up 800 feet ahead of you and more than 100 feet wide when equipped with the hybrid lenses. With the DENALI DataDim controller, your DENALI auxiliary lights can be set up as dual intensity units controlled by the factory headlight switch.

DENALI has everything you need to make mounting, wiring, and controlling LED lighting easy. There is even a secure smartphone mount with built-in wireless charging and CANsmart connection. Mount it to the clip-ons, and it holds your phone where you can see the screen and navigation instructions even while tucked behind the windscreen.
